Each year, Knife River welcomes public and private high schools from across the region to participate in Career Exploration Events at the Knife River Training Center.

These interactive events are designed to give students and educators firsthand exposure to the wide variety of careers that help build and maintain strong communities. Participants engage in hands-on activities, demonstrations, and discussions with industry professionals while exploring opportunities in:

  • Construction and skilled trades
  • Production and materials operations
  • Equipment operation, maintenance, and technical careers
  • Professional and business careers
  • Additional pathways that help build strong communities

Each event is carefully planned to maximize student engagement and career awareness while helping schools connect classroom learning to real-world career opportunities.
