Basic Life Support – CPR/AED (American Heart Association)

The AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED.  Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines, Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

This is a very hands-on course.  Expect to deliver a lot of practice chest compressions and ventilation both as a team and solo.

Instructor is Captain/EMT Rich Saalsaa, Fire & Life Safety Officer from the Philomath Fire Department.

The cost of this course is $100

Lunch is not included in this particular class.
